Robert Hanson, Executive Vice President and President of the Wine and Spirits Division at Constellation Brands, will step down from his position on 29 February 2024 to pursue new professional goals. This was confirmed by the American multinational. President and CEO Bill Newlands will take over his responsibilities on an interim basis.

"We are grateful to Robert for his transformative vision, his dynamic leadership, and his commitment to our company over the past 11 years, initially as a board member and then as the President of our Wine and Spirits Division. We wish him the best in his future endeavors," Newlands commented on Hanson's departure.

Under Hanson's leadership, the company's Wine and Spirits division has significantly restructured its brand portfolio over the past four and a half years. This restructuring involved divesting some entry-level brands and acquiring others, marking a significant shift in the company's strategy.
