On July 19th, the French association "No/Low Wine Collective" was formed. It was initiated by B&S Tech, a leading producer and developer of alcohol-free and reduced-alcohol wines, and moderato, a French manufacturer of low-alcohol products.

Their shared mission to bring together leading French producers to create high-quality wines in their category. The alliance emphasizes that each member plays a crucial role in the chain, be it in healthcare, production, technology, distribution, or oenology. The goal is to influence quality, production, consumption, and regulations.

Currently, the association consists of eleven members, including prominent names such as Zenotheque, Château de Rochefort, and the cooperative Bordeaux Families.

Lobbying efforts

While the alcohol-free category is gaining momentum in many markets, the alcohol-free networking within the industry is still underdeveloped. However, they aren’t the first association in their category. The "Adult Non-Alcoholic Beverage Association" (ANBA), founded in the US in 2022, aims to help its members from the beverage industry (beer, wine, spirits, and ready-to-drink cocktails) with networking, monitoring the growth category's development, identifying market opportunities, and acting as a lobby to influence political frameworks, such as international trade regulations. In 2022, a European branch was established. PD
