by Hervé Lalau

According to an internet poll by Opinionway, 71% of European consumers are willing to pay 2 Eurocents more for food and drink, including wine, if it allows them to trace the product. While 84% think that the level of traceability is not adequate today, a full 81% of the panel thinks food and drink must be traceable "as a rule". 57% think traceability is the manufacturer´s responsibility and 49% think it is a governmental responsibility.
